project characteristics:
A warm and inviting new home, in a country farmhouse style, is the setting for this colorful, suburban project.  We’d worked with the owners on their previous home and we had established a good client/designer dialogue together.  This cannot be overemphasized on any project -- great projects begin with great clients, and the dialogue between owner and designer, is of enormous importance.  In concert with their ideas and goals, we fashioned a soft, naturalized landscape that feels at home with this country style.  Cottage style perennial gardens wrap the entire property.  A traditional flagpole setting stands guard over the front lawn and ornamental grasses bring choreography and color all winter long.
